Bonnee Annee, Queen Emma

New Year's eve saw the official renaming ceremony for our new (to us) Oyster 45, Queen Emma (nee Rainbow Spirit). We looked up all the nautical lore regarding this allegedly fraught act and decided in true B-B spirit to make up our own.

Our Story (and we're sticking to it)

In October of 2002, the dot com bubble burst and so did our consulting business. Since we were going broke, we decided we might as well have fun, and so bought Eaux Vives, a 40' Beneteau, on the internet. We took posession of her in the British Virgin Islands and were sailing those warm, clear waters by December. Eight years later we bought a new (to us) boat which we are naming "Queen Emma"; for her original web listing click here.
We hope even those of more temperate nature might find something of value in this, our personal guide to cruising the Eastern Caribbean. Click on the Islands link or on the map for pictures, commentary and log entries for that Island. If you are interested how we spend hurricane season, click here for cruising info on San Francisco.. Eaux Vives is now for sale, click here for the particulars. As always, we love to hear from you to leave a comment, click here or send email to either lance or to susie @accidentalcruiser.com
